contents: Illustration by Jan Luiken called 'the famous master of the art of engraving' in the preface of this book. He was also responsible for an obvious revival of book illustration during the end of the 17th and the beginning of the 18th centuries. In 'devotional prints' the book shows 'holy and unholy histories' from the early period of Christianity, accompanied by heavy moralizing verse.
