contents: This small book was published by Crispyn van de Passe the Younger, descendant of a well-known family of engravers. It originally appeared anonymously and contains 38 portraits, with accompanying rhymes in Dutch, French and German, of women of dubious reputation such as prostitutes, courtesans and procuresses. The author of the rhymes is unknown, but may have been Van de Passe himself.
