contents: The Carlinapers in Haarlem is a private press owned by C. van Dijk, remarkable for an exceedingly beautiful and well-considered typography and design. As such it is in the tradition of private presses such as the one by Van Royen and in the typographical (Haarlem) tradition of celebrities like Jan van Krimpen and Sem Hartz. This book consists of 12 compositions in lines and typefaces, based on a triangle of copper lines from the type case, varying in length between 1 and 20 picas.
