contents: This print shows a warehouse and office of a papermaker, with the paper mill in the background to the right. A customer is holding the paper to the light to look at the watermark and to check the quality. Paper was traded by `factors': paper merchants. Their names and those of the papermaker were often shown in a watermark by initials.
