contents: An early typesetting machine in the form of a piano, patented by J.H. Young and A. Delcambre, from a design by Hendry Bessemer. The machine is also known as 'Young's machine'. The similarity between playing the piano and the operation of this device is not very realistic, but rather romantically represented.
