contents: Every year the best pupils of the Delft grammar school were given a so-called prize binding awarded during a solemn ceremony. The winning orations were printed by Reinier Boitet, provided with a fitting title page: an enthroned Minerva, the goddess of wisdom, hands the prize binding with the letter Y, symbol of Delft, to the young winner. To the right in the background is another young man, in a Greek garment, in a library. He reads standing at a table with vertical sides on to which the opened books rest.
