contents: Gold-tooled white vellum bookbinding. Both covers are tooled with a simple panel design made with fillets and a central decorative block stamp. In the 17th century, many books were bound in vellum. It was strong and relatively cheap, certainly if the binding was not tooled or blind-tooled.
